Aishwarya: At one point, Omung Kumar thought I was dropping out of Sarbjit
In her just-released film Sarbjit, Aishwarya Rai has gone the de-glam route to bring to life the character of Dalbir Kaur. SpotboyE spoke to the actress about all that went into making the film. Excerpts:

Omung Kumar told me that you said yes to Sarbjit in 15 minutes. Are you normally that quick in deciding about your films?
Well, I thought he would say 5 minutes (laughs). I think he was also in a rush that day; he had to go to some award function. Even I was busy dubbing for Jazbaa. Our minds were conditioned that we won’t have much time for this meeting. Incidentally, there was an instant connect.   Read more...

Omung Kumar’s SARBJIT, which is going to be released this Friday, recently held a screening of the film at the 69th Festival de Cannes. Aishwarya: Made ‘Sarbjit’ keeping in mind sensitivity of family
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said “Sarbjit” has been made keeping in mind sensitivity and emotions of the family of the Indian convict.
The Omung Kumar-helmed film is based on life of Indian national Sarabjit Singh, who was convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court. He died following an assault by fellow prisoners at a Pakistani jail.
“As a team we always make movies to bring it to the audience. We are glad today onwards it (the film) is open to you all to view. We hope you appreciate the efforts of the team,” Aishwarya told reporters here at the premiere of “Sarbjit” last night.   Read more...

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya return to Mumbai from Cannes
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya were clicked by the cameras at Mumbai airport on Monday (May 15) night.
Aish's little daughter Aaradhya is four and has spent as many years accompanying her mother to the Cannes Film Festival. In an interview to Associated Press, the 42-year-old actor revealed that Aaradhya now helps her prep for the red carpet. "For her it's more like playing dress up and appreciating colors. Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says she and her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan share similar sensibilities when it comes to doing films and they don’t restrict themselves to a particular genre.
Abhishek and Aishwarya are busy with their respective films – “Housefull 3” and “Sarbjit”.
